Dough-Ray-Me in Kamloops
Congratulations to Alberta’s Chelsea Cunningham, who won first place and $1,500 at the new Country 103 Rising Star Showcase held at the Kamloops Cowboy Festival this past March. This new competition, sponsored by CJKC FM Country 103 and the B.C. Cowboy Heritage Society, is open to amateur entertainers performing western/cowboy music. The singing contest, which is one of the more generous, saw $500 being awarded down to sixth place.
