Who's Hot

Feb-Mar 2007

Cowtown’s Pride

From the first jump out of the chute on Day 1 at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, Ross Kreutzer was the man to beat for the saddle bronc championship. He made money in every round, winning the first and last rounds outright.

The 36-year-old single cowboy has racked up a list of wins that include the Calgary Stampede SB $50,000 winner in 2001; Duane Daines SB Series Champion 2005; Top Sask. Athlete 2005; Sask. Circuit SB Champion 2005 and now, 2006 Canadian Saddle Bronc Champion.

Kreutzer, from Maple Creek, Sask., (a.k.a. Cowtown) is a horse trainer who invested much of his rodeo winnings in blooded stock. He is a regular contributor to the Cypress Hills Horse Sale where he earned the distinction of the 2005 High Selling horse that topped the bids at over $10,000.
