Jesse Fowler’s first CD contains six tracks including three original songs co-written by Jesse and the fine poet from Sherwood Park, Buddy Gale. This Alberta teenager has been performing around the western provinces for a couple of years now, and folks have been waiting for some recorded material from him.
One of the most frequent comments you hear at his live performances is something like, “This young guy has a voice that’s got a mature quality far beyond his years.”
Included are two songs Jesse co-wrote with Buddy Gale Fairy Tale Cowboy, and Old Cowboy Dreams (not the song by the same title written by Jesse Ballantyne and recorded by Ben Crane). The fine poet Tom King collaborated with Jesse to write Soul Mates a poignant love song that has a deep personal meaning for Tom and anyone who knows him. Also included in the list are Michael Burton’s popular Night Rider’s Lament and the dramatic Master’s Call, written by Marty Robbins. Jesse rounds out the six-song set with an arrangement of the classic Ghost Riders that really shows off his vocal talent and range.
The musicians on this one include Jim Peace on lead guitar and harmonica, Noel Burles on bass and Jesse on rhythm guitar.
