In the Corral

Feb-Mar 2004

NFR - Glenn O'Neill & Rod Warren

If Glen O'Neill could have drawn a little better in the last 2 rounds the out come would have been different, Glen did his best on the ones that he got . Basically it was the luck of the draw and it cost him the world by a little over 4400 dollars.

Rod Warren rode his last 2 horses very intelligently; while not being overly aggressive he made sure he got the tweeter on both which won him the average because he was the only bronc rider to ride all 10. Neither of his last 2 rides won him a nickel in either round ( he was 75 and 74.5 pts respectively ) but in the end winning the average was worth $ 36,763.19 which when you do the math means each horse in the 9th and 10 th round were worth $18,000 plus.

CCCM Teams up with 4-H Clubs of Alberta!

Canadian Cowboy Country has embarked on a new fundraising endeavour with 4-H Clubs of Alberta. Beginning February 2004, 4-H Clubs in Alberta will be selling one-year subscriptions to CCCM for a healthy fundraising return. Along with subscription sales, watch for our brand new editorial feature profiling 4-H members, leaders and programs throughout the country. This pilot program has been embraced by 4-H Canada on a National level, and for one year, Alberta will be the test province. After the one-year period, the program will be rolled-out to all other Canadian provinces. CCCM is delighted to support this very worthwhile organization and we look forward to working with the more than 9,000 members and leaders in Alberta!
